Places to visit:

 

1: Chennai Central

2: Marina Beach: Watch the samadhis + Light house + stroll around the long beach {beware: Beach water not good)

3: Anna Salai [MG Road of Chennai] Has some good stores like landmark

4: Besant nagar Beach: Best beach in Chennai. Not crowded. Pleasant crowd.

5: Egmore: Chennai Museum : Good

6: N Usman Road: Has all the famous gold shops + sarees shops. {TNagar + West mamballam {Kind of Majestic Bangalore}

7: Guindy national Park: Aditi might enjoy here.

Apart from these, there are lots of water games and theme parks like VGP.. Arignar Anna zoo is also quite far from the city. It comes after tambaram.

TN state tourism hotel is good itseems. You can plan to spend the night here too.

Pondicherry is another good place with good beaches. 5-6 hours drive from Chennai. Roads are good. There should be a way from Mahabalipuram.

  25th Dec (Christmas day), I had been to temple near bettadasana pura . It's in a small village connecting the Bannergatta road with Electronic city (the road is named wipro road, I think). The temple atop a small hill has both Venkateshwara (Vishnu) and shiva temple. It's covered all around with a Fort wall though broken at many places. It was so different not only in architecture but just the fact that it was such an old one (more older than kempegouda defining the Bangalore boundary). The priests were different from the normal showoff temple priests in most part of Bangalore. They were eager to hear about each people visiting the temple. Booked my first car!

16th jul Update: Looks like the registration for the car will be delayed as it's not left from Gurgoan and might be another couple of weeks :(.. . was eagerly waiting for it early next week :(.. ..
